I have been immensely lucky to work as part of the transplant team at Papworth Hospital. Under the guidance of one of my mentors in the job, I've written a review, published in BMJ Heart, about cardiac biopsy. This is where a doctor passes a long pair of forceps inside the heart to take a tiny sample of tissue for analysis. It is an area most cardiologists are not exposed to so I hope the article proves useful. Many thanks to Dr Clive Lewis for his advice throughout the process.
Above is the visual abstract, not quite sure it worked but I'm slowly learning more about design and will keep improving. I am at least pleased with how the bioptomes came out!
